Rodavia operates as an information service connecting travellers with local rental providers across the Canary Islands. The platform displays availability and facilitates bookings, but does not own vehicles or act as a rental operator.

Nature of Service

When you complete a booking through this website, you enter into a rental agreement directly with the provider named in your voucher. Rodavia acts solely as an intermediary - the contract terms, vehicle condition, insurance coverage, and all operational matters fall under the responsibility of that rental company.

Your voucher contains the specific conditions agreed with the provider. These may differ between companies and booking dates. Read the document carefully before collecting your vehicle at Gran Canaria or Tenerife locations.

Booking Advance and Payment

The advance payment processed during booking confirms your reservation with the selected provider. Any additional amounts - including deposits held at the counter, fuel charges, optional equipment, or excess mileage - are handled directly between you and the rental company according to voucher terms.

User Responsibilities

You must provide accurate information during booking. Driver details, contact data, and collection arrangements need to match the documents presented at the rental desk. Mismatched information can result in the provider refusing to release the vehicle.

Licence validity, age requirements, and cross-island travel permissions vary by provider. Check your voucher before attempting to drive between Tenerife and Gran Canaria - most agreements prohibit ferry transport even though Fred Olsen and Armas services carry vehicles.

Limitation of Liability

Rodavia displays information supplied by rental providers but cannot guarantee real-time accuracy of vehicle availability, specifications, or terms. The platform is not liable for provider actions, vehicle defects, service interruptions, or disputes arising from the rental contract itself.

Road conditions on routes like GC-200 or weather affecting access to Teide on TF-21 remain outside our control. Plan journeys according to local conditions and provider vehicle restrictions.

Modifications

These terms may change to reflect operational updates or legal requirements. Continued use of the website after amendments indicates acceptance. Bookings made before changes remain subject to the terms active at reservation time.
