Payment Methods
Rodavia connects you with local rental companies across the Canary Islands. When you complete a booking, you pay an advance through our platform. The remaining balance goes directly to the rental company when you collect the vehicle. Here's how it works step by step.
Advance Payment Online
The booking advance is processed through our secure gateway at the time of reservation. We accept Visa and Mastercard for this transaction. The advance represents part of the total rental value and confirms your booking with the local supplier.
Your card will be charged in euros. All major banks issuing Visa or Mastercard worldwide are supported.
Balance at Pick-Up
The remainder of the rental total is settled directly with the rental company when you arrive at their desk. Your voucher displays the outstanding amount and specifies which payment methods that particular supplier accepts.
Most companies on Gran Canaria and Tenerife work with credit cards, debit cards, and cash. Some offices prefer credit cards for the vehicle itself but accept debit cards or cash for additional extras. Others handle everything with any valid card.
What Your Voucher Says
Each voucher lists accepted payment methods for that specific rental company. You'll see whether debit cards are allowed, if cash is accepted, and any restrictions that apply. The terms come directly from the supplier, so one company might differ from another even within the same island.
